Late Fee Policy

All users must comply with a standardized Late Fee Policy that The Volte will enforce to protect both Borrower and Lender alike. The Volte relies on both Lenders and Borrowers sending and returning items in a timely manner.

If an item is returned late, an additional $25 per day (subject to service fees) will be charged for each day the item is not returned. Borrowers agree to this policy every time they request a booking. Late fees will be capped at 4 weeks or up to the RRP whichever is larger unless otherwise determined by The Volte in their sole discretion.

The Volte also reserves the right to charge the credit card on file in your The Volte Account, or otherwise collect payment from you and pursue any avenues available to The Volte in this regard, in situations in which you have been determined, in The Volte’s sole discretion, to have returned items late. If we are unable to charge the credit card on file or otherwise collect payment from you, you agree to remit payment for the additional hire period to the applicable Lender or to The Volte (if applicable). Unpaid invoices will be passed on to a debt-collection service with collection costs recoverable.

To submit a late fee charge request, lenders must provide the return tracking information for the order. The Volte has up to 60 days to retrieve the owed amount. Please note that while The Volte will work in every way possible to make sure these reimbursements are received, we are not liable for the payment of these. In case only a partial of the total amount is retrieved, whatever amount was collected will be transferred to the lender after 60 days and the case will be closed.

Calculation of late fees starts from the end date of the hire until the exact date the item was dropped off in a post box / post office. A borrower will not be liable for late fees if the delay on the return is outside their control, such as unexpected delays by Australia Post.

Try On Service Policy

Try-on option is no longer available. If you have questions regarding an item's size or fit, please contact our please contact our customer support team at [email protected] with the link to the listing so they can inquire with the lender for you.

Borrower Refund Policy

Items on The Volte platform should be consistent with the description provided by the Lender. If a Borrower who books and pays for an Item and then experiences a ‘Renting Issue’, the Borrower may be eligible for a refund in accordance with this Borrower Refund Policy.

The Volte may (at our discretion) provide the Borrower with either a full or partial refund excluding any shipping costs, administration fees and processing fees.

A valid 'Renting Issue' generally falls into five categories:

The Lender cancels a reservation 24 hours or less before the scheduled arrival of the Item, or fails to provide the Borrower with the Item.

The description of the Item in the Listing on The Volte is materially different from the actual Item. The Volte reminds Borrowers that Items are potentially pre-worn and are not rented on an as-new basis. Some minor wear and tear may not be listed in the description but can not be used as a basis to provide a refund under this policy.

At the start of the Borrower’s reservation, the Item: (i) is not generally clean and sanitary (ii) contains safety or health hazards that would be reasonably expected to adversely affect the Borrower’s use of the Item in The Volte’s judgment. The Borrower must post the dress back to the lender by the next business day after receipt and must be returned unworn, otherwise the refund will be forfeited.

To submit a valid claim for a refund, a Borrower is required (a) to bring the Renting Issue to our attention within 2 hours after receipt of the item (including photographs or other evidence) and respond to our requests for information or cooperation, (b) not have directly or indirectly caused the Renting Issue and (c) to have used reasonable efforts to try to remedy the circumstances of the Renting Issue with the Lender prior to making a claim for a Renting Issue.

Some items are made with fabrics that are naturally more prone to creasing whilst in transit than others. Unless approved by your lender, we are unable to offer refund unless there is significant damage on the item. Please refer to our FAQ page on how what to do in case you receive a crinkled item.

 

Cancellation Policy

All users must comply with a standardised cancellation policy that The Volte will enforce to protect both Borrower and Lender alike. Each listing and reservation on our site reminds users of the cancellation policy.

Lender

• A Lender can cancel an order at any time prior to shipping without a liability to the Borrower. All amounts paid by the Borrower to the Lender will be refunded to the Borrower minus any service fees owed or paid to The Volte.

Borrower

• A Borrower can cancel an order no less than 14 days prior to the rental start date without any liability to the Lender. All amounts paid by the Borrower to the Lender will be refunded minus any service fees owed or paid to The Volte.

Content Policy

By posting content on The Volte, you agree to abide by these guidelines and other The Volte policies. We reserve the right to remove content, in whole or part, that violates these guidelines or The Volte’s Terms of Service or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

In the event of repeated or severe violations, we may suspend or permanently deactivate the account(s) in question. The Volte 's determination on whether any specific content is prohibited will be final and conclusive.

You can contact us to contest a post or to report content that violates our Terms of Service or Content Guidelines.

Listings and Profiles

We expect Lenders to create listings that are honest, clear, and helpful to potential guests. We prohibit:

• Advertising or other commercial content.

• Content that endorses or promotes illegal or harmful activity or violence, or is profane, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or discriminatory.

• Political, religious, or social commentary.

• Attempts to impersonate another person.

• Content that is fraudulent, false, misleading or deceptive.

• Content that refers to an investigation being undertaken by The Volte.

• Content that violates another person or entity’s rights, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights.

• Photos with watermark/logo that advertise businesses or brands

Reviews and Feedback

Genuine and honest reviews and feedback are the cornerstone of our community. We prohibit:

• Reviews that do not represent users’ personal experience.

• Reviews unrelated to the actual reservation (political, religious, or social commentary).

• Content that endorses or promotes illegal or harmful activity or violence, or is profane, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or discriminatory.

• Content that violates another person or entity’s rights, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights (publishing another person’s full name, address or other identifying information without permission).

• Content that is proven to be used as extortion.

• Content that refers to an investigation being undertaken by The Volte.

Collection of information

This information is collected in order to process and fulfill your order request.

We collect and use email addresses and mobile numbers when you order from the site so that we can send you any necessary email and text messages related to your order – such as an order confirmation notice and a reminder of an overdue item.

We may use the information to assist in providing you with relevant information about our products, special offers that may be of interest to you.
